Together with the museum’s education officers, school children from year 3 onwards have the opportunity to explore the Karower Teiche Nature Reserve and the River Panke. Equipped with pond-dipping nets, the students take water samples and engage in bird-watching using binoculars. The next day, the water samples collected can be examined under the microscope at the museum and any organisms found are identified and classified.
